What Is Washington Fosters?
Washington Fosters is an initiative of the Washington Association for Children & Families (WACF). By working with advocates, agencies, and non-profit organizations in Washington State and beyond, Washington Fosters is developing clear resources and helpful tools for those considering becoming foster parents. Here's how we're supporting children, youth, and families in Washington State.
- Provide potential foster parents with essential educational resources so they can make informed decisions
- Improve recruitment strategies through digital tools that link our partner agencies with a wider audience
- Advocate for foster families by learning more about their needs and sharing their stories
- Educate the general public about the challenges and status of foster care in Washington State
Together, Washington Fosters and WACF can promote safety, permanency, and well-being for children and families.
